I love Dundee as it’s my centre and gateway to magical Munros, beautiful white beaches, and scottish villiages, towns and cities to explore.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is a vibrant city. A city we can (and all) love. A city with so much to see, full of heritage. A city with so many creative talents, that inspire so many people. Dundee is a homely city, a city we should be proud of.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Overlooking the city is Dundee Law, the plug of a long extinct volcano. The view from the top is spectacular, reaching at least 20 miles east (to the Bell Rock lighthouse) and south (to Fife's Lomond Hills) as well as up the river westward towards Perth. It is the perfect place to see just what a perfect position Dundee is in, on the banks of the silvery Tay.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee to me is a city of perseverance, passion and pride. I chose to live in the city because of my strong families ties. In my family, storytelling is important, whether it's reminiscing about past events or passing down fables. These stories transfer a rich tapestry of experience on to the next generation. The regenerating of Dundee's industrial heritage has reinvigorated the City and can be interpreted as a symbol for personal transformation. My secret spot is the mosaic bench in Finlathen Park next to the Dighty Burn. A little bit of public art that adds to its setting. I would love to see some stone sculptures from a nearby artist on display there too. His work is inspiring and amazing.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> great cycle paths means getting around on 2 wheels is easy - cycling alongside the river or across the bridge - fantastic!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is truly cosmopolitan. People come from all over the world, fall in love with it, and are always sorry to leave. It has everything you need and there is always something going on or something new to see. My favourite things are the McManus, the DCA, Balgay Hill, the Blues Bonanza, the Duncan of Jordanstone Degree Show and the view from my house.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee has always been a place where people just do it, just make art, just make culture happen, just work together, just get on with bringing art to the city in new ways with funding or without. The energy and vibrancy of the like of Generator, Yuk and Yum, and Duncan of Jordanstone and countless other initiatives large and small have shown that over the years. Whether it wins the bid or not, Dundee will be a city of culture in 2017, and every year. Good luck!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> McManus galleries offer a wonderful insight into the rich history of the city.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Having never stepped foot in the city until my first day at University I had no idea what to expect, but the friendliness and welcoming attitude got me straight away, 11 years later I feel like Dundee is home, and I am very excited about what my future holds living in this ever developing city. The open spaces in Dundee are great, you never feel enclosed. With such easy access to beautiful countryside, beaches, hills and forests, why would you need to live anywhere else?
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee a place with a great history and an even better future. The city has invested heavily in arts and culture - the people deserve to be City of Culture 2017
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The city is making such an effort to modernise with its riverfront plans.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Good place to study and loads of things to do as a family.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The return of its self-confidence and ambition - its always been there , but it's now being recognized. Go on Dundee!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee City of Discovery, what an apt name. There is beauty and history at every turn. A magnificent waterfront that has all the history attached to ancient ships for example the discovery, Captain Scott of the Antarctic ship. Beautiful art galleries and a wonderful museum. Dundee is a thriving city on the move.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I moved back to Dundee three years ago after spending 10 years away and am finally appreciating how artistically, culturally and musically vibrant the city is. In a relatively small city local talent is on display everywhere- the DCA, The Rep, McManus Galleries, Clarks, The Art Bar, Dukes Corner, Duncan of Jordanstone, Westfest, Literary Dundee, the Gardyne Theatre, etc, etc.The buzz around the V&amp;A is amazing in the city, and makes me proud to be Dundonian!!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> When I arrived in Dundee in 1966 as a student I was bowled over by the generous spirit of the working class people of the city. There was such an air of optimism then. Going back to Dundee as I do every year I'm shocked at the reversal of fortunes of those same people. The social housing stock being demolished, lack of jobs for young people. Showcase developments like the New Overgate are just a sticking plaster. Good luck with the Waterfront Project but I don't think it will improve the lives of Dundee's working class. The city's hidden secret are the city's poor and downtrodden.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> How at home I felt since day one. Everyone is welcome, everyone is family and most of all, almost every country is represented in Dundee University, thanks to the variety of students.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The DCA is a wonderful place, always showing great movies that wouldn't be seen at the multiplexes, as well as giving plenty of opportunities to learn about film and to be artistic.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I am amazed by the vibrancy of the arts community in and around Dundee. and feel proud to have many of these artists as my friends. I came to the area to restore a ruined Baronial castle to the north of the city, in an attempt to bring back built heritage from the brink. However. so impressed have I been with the artists in the area, I would love to make the castle a cultural centre as well ... perhaps for 2017?
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> 2 universities each prominent in its expertise draw in students and researchers from all over the world. These visitors bring the rich diversity of so many different cultures to the city and many become long term residents . Living in the West End I am constantly reminded of the cosmopolitan nature of Dundee in 2013 which was largely absent as I was growing up here.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Braithwaites Tea &amp; Coffee shop! So good i spend most weekends shipping orders to my friends and family who cant get into the shop in person.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I'm always pleased to see so much activity to meet new people and discover what projects are happening. There is so much excitement to do with innovation and design. There are so many beautiful things that made so many creatives.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Beautiful river views from the top of the Law, dolphin spotting down the Ferry and long woodland walks through Camperdown Park. Amazing place to bring up children!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee isn't an 'obvious' place - you have to dig a bit deeper than in other major cities. Once you do, you start to find places like Generator (pop up exhibitions by emergent visual artists) you see Performances in community centres and other strange places (by the Rep and Scottish Dance Theatre) and mini festivals for families all across the city. The difference is that you need to seek it out. You need to talk to people and make connections. Communicate with people and Dundee is one of the most exciting places you'll come across. It's all there for the taking.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is full of nice places to visit, rest or enjoy for a walk if you want, but its best asset is the people. Dundee is full of people from different culture and being French I felt integrated very quickly because this is what this city is about: People with great heart. I am regularly dancing Indian dances at the Bharatiya Ashram and I am learning painting with a local artist John Stoa and I think that I could not combine so many arts activities elsewhere than In Dundee – Great city of Culture.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> With such an industrial history Dundee has a surprising amount of green spaces. Whatever the weather there is somewhere beautiful to go out walking with the dog.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I moved back to Dundee because of the emerging visual art scene. It is fresh and different from anything I have encountered elsewhere - guaranteed humour and good times! Brilliant live art has emerged from this city - including Gammamoth Institute, Pester + Rossi and Ganghut
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The endless talent and enthusiasm of Dundee's young people never fails to amaze me. As an educator who has been resident in the city for almost 30 years, I am constantly encouraged and often overwhelmed by the talents displayed by our young musicians, dancers, actors and performers through a variety of events ranging from school/local concerts and shows (such as the fantastic DSMT productions and McIntosh Patrick Awards) to representing the city in national events such as the Edinburgh Festival and Rock Challenge - they are a credit to the city!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I moved to London a year ago and it surprises me how much I miss Dundee. Although I live in what is, arguably, the cultural capital of the UK, I think Dundee is a really exciting place to be. It may be small but it has such a vibrant and burgeoning cultural scene and is just going to go from strength to strength.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The people! I have met so many wonderful people from.Dundee,a welcoming community without judgement. There is so much talent in the city,musicians,artists and just general friendliness!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee's micro climate. All around it can be snowing heavily and you get to Dundee and the streets are clear. We also have more sunshine than other Scottish cities--which must help us be a more cheerful city !
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> It is an underdog, but if you ever lived there - you would see its potential is sky high.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I remain struck by this rugged diamond of the North, a world class centre of education and research in the finest European traditions, embedded in local communities and business while reaching out to virtually every corner of the globe.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee's resilience - it's been knocked down many times and come back stronger than ever !!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I have just arrived in Dundee . I find it to be a beautiful city- in many ways. The views you get over the River Tay are amazing. I enjoy walking around Dundee. The people in Dundeee are so nice and welcoming. I like the theates and the fact that dundee creatively pushes boundaries. I could definitely live here.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> That more people don't know and appreciate it.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I love Dundee it's everything a city should be but with a friendly village atmosphere. No matter where you are in this city you are never more than 20 mins away from great shops , the beach or the countryside ! We have world class education , amazing facilities , art all around us and the best people. Dundonian women are a true inspiration , lets face it even Winston Churchill refused to take them on !
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I adore lochee library. Beautiful building and a great atmosphere .
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Coming from Perth my perception of Dundee was always negative until work brought me here in 2004. Dundee in general has surprised me, continues to evolve and in turn surprises friends who I bring to the city. It is hard to explain but I feel comfortable here. Dundee is home.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The quality of higher education on offer in Dundee is exceptional, as attested by warm and enthusiastic student reports. World class research in a range of academic fields is recognised in the wider academic community and places Dundee University (including of course Duncan of Jordanstone College) among the very best available.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Loads of things about Dundee are awesome. 2 European Cup Semi finalists Dundee United FC and Dundee FC. Some of the UK's top nightlife and fab cultural venues. dundonians are awesome as well. I have worked all over the uk and dundee is one of the best cities. Lets win this thing.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee has without doubt the most heartbreakingly beautiful sunrise/sunset landscapes in the UK and perhaps in any city anywhere. That is reason enough for anyone to visit it but it also a city of gritty, entertaining and sometimes endearing character. It has a unique relationship between a very industrial and scottish local population and a very new and international university. The University also boasts an impressive art school populated by quirky and impulsive people who help to make the city fascinating
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> There's so much to offer at every time of the year and for every age, having only been in Dundee since 2005 I can't ever imagine leaving.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Getting to know Dundees creative scene is a rich journey of discovery. It's not a city to wear its cultural heart on its sleeve but once you start to squirrel in on what's keeping the artistic pulse beating it turns out the heartbeat is strong, varied, hard hitting and rich. And most of all friendly and welcoming. Come investigate under the skin of the city too...
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee's music culture is amazing! Many great bands have come from Dundee!

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The Howff Graveyard - given to Dundee by Mary Queen of Scots and now a peaceful place in the heart of the city centre. The inventor of the adhesive postage stamp, Joseph Chalmers is buried here.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> What surprises me about Dundee is its distinct character, as though it were an admired, trusty and respected friend to it's inhabitants and visitors alike. The city's bairns form the roots of this collective character that comes through in strength; it welcomes me home and puts me at ease. I smile and long to stay.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The creative community in Dundee is outstanding. There's so much talent crammed into this wee city. The creative community is close knit and supportive without being cliquey. It welcomes you in with open arms and encourages you to stay.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> For me, a Fifer, having travelled to Dundee as a child, clubbed in Dundee as a teenager and now looking at Dundee on a daily basis, spending most of my money in Dundee as an adult, I'm constantly amazed by the growth of the city, the art in the city and the constantly vibrant atmosphere in Dundee. The V&amp;A coming, the waterfront project evolving is hugely exciting and can only improve everything for Dundee itself. My favourite things in Dundee are the DCA and the McManus, Maggies Centre, as well as the city's amazing history. Dundee has much to offer......
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> ....there's a fabulous zoo with lots of animals including bears, wolves, lemurs and Scottish wildcats. It's called Camperdown Wildlife Centre and, because it's run by Dundee City Council, the entry fee is really low
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The warmth of the city when I return to see my family, great memories of growing up in Dundee that will stay forever. Dundee has that pull that brings you back time and time again.

I studied and lived in dundee for a long while and what amazes me most is the sincere smiles that resonates all around you, their willingness to help you settle in as a foreigner. Dundee boasts of a ground filled with enormous cultural heritage and art And I'm proud to be be associated with IT.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> My parents were both Dundee doctors. My father was John Langlands who had a practice at Garland Place. He was a very much loved Dundee GP who used to visit his patients nearly every day of the year, even Christmas Day!

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> A Californian native, born and raised, I've made my way over to Dundee to attend university, and I can't even begin to describe my fascination with this little gem of a city. I've never resided in a more genuine, unpretentious place. Dundee presents itself at face value, and exists in its stubborn manner of take me as I am or don't take me at all. Meeting new people, I'm familiar with their immediate reaction of, "Why on earth would you leave California for Dundee??" but I'm content and thrilled to be in this city of dialect so thick I can hardly decipher it on the best of days. Because after two years of living here, I can't imagine walking down the street and not being able to ask the kilted man if he's a true Scotsman.

Having lived in Dundee for 6 years now I am still amazed at all the new places I am discovering. This on the backdrop of amazing surroundings and scenery is just one of the things that makes Dundee amazing!

The passion and enthusiasm he displays for his city (and the similarly talented locals he chooses to freely showcases) displays a vigour and vibrancy which I think is unique and truly infectious. <b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> As a student at the University of Dundee I was really impressed by the strong link the City has with her students. The vibrant and diverse social scene has really provided me with an excellent student experience. From Dundee you are well placed to visit many exciting parts of Scotland but still return to your "home" city in a matter of hours. I am proud to have been a part of the city's expansion over the past 5 years.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Reputedly the FINEST WATERFRONT LOCATION in all of Europe. The SUNNIEST city in Scotland. FRIENDLY &amp; WELCOMING locals.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Tin Roof studios and others like it are a little known asset to the city. It is an example of one of the many collectives to be found in Dundee which exist because like-minded people want to get together and share their interests.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> My girlfriend was getting the train from Leeds to Dundee. The conductor was Dundonian, and when he processed her ticket, he remarked "City of the Gods". Both pride and wit are at the heart of this city.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The walking distance between Tannandice and Dens.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I moved away from Dundee 12 years ago but I have so many fond memories of the city. The education I received in the city didn't just come from being at the University of Abertay, it came from living within and enjoying all that the city has to over. I've watched world-class plays at the Rep Theatre, listened to some great concerts at the Caird Hall and seen some fantastic art at the galleries.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The views are superb from everywhere especially from the top of Ninewells Avenue !
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The hidden gems that are not often publicised. Duncan Of Jordanstone produces so much artistic talent not often known about. Landscape is beautiful and there are many open spaces. Shopping Culture and Entertainment is vibrant in this city.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> how many people are in dundee and how amazing the services are here. like ninewells A&amp;E is a level 1 trauma centre i did not know that
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The 24-hour bakery - a place full of wonder, magic and mystery!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I took part in Dundee's 48 hour film competition in 2012, which was an amazing opportunity to meet new people from different creative industries
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> You can live in the city with all its benefits and just a couple of minutes by car you can enjoy a nice round of golf, a day on the beach or just relax in one of the cafés in and around Dundee.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> After moving here 2.5 years ago, its great to be in a city that seems to be refusing to stand still &amp; is working to secure itself as one of the leading 'creative' cities in the UK outside of the capitals.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Speedwell bar,dundee university,rep theatre,dundee utd,dawn at the law,sunset over the tay bridge and braw folk everywhere means dundee will always have a place in my heart.And this is from a weegie....
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The people of Dundee possess a good mix of enrgy, self-reliance, enthusiatiasm, community spirit and a certain toughness in the face of adversity.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The Law Hill. Always great to see when you have been away from the city for a while.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> A friendly place with great theatre, art and architecture with the Tay.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Christmas markets - great atmosphere. Waterfront redevelopment - so keen for Dundee to have the face it deserves. Dundee has a great civic feel. By working in Dundee, I feel part of the city.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Nothing is "normal" about Dundee. Having lived there for 4 years at university, the thing that most surprises me is the notion so many Scottish people have of the place: "Dundee? That's a dump" being the consensus of nearly 100% of those who've never been. The lovely secret held by those who have is that it is one of the most wonderfully inviting, absorbing, positive, encouraging, resourceful and accepting small cities in the world. Do we really want to share that secret? Oh, go on then!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Blackness. West End. MacManus Galleries. Dundee Contemporary Arts. Overgate Centre. V&amp;A. University of Dundee. Tay Estuary. Riverside. Broughty Ferry. Tentsmuir Beach. Even with all these, the layering of local people, visitors, students, businesses and a quiet ambition makes Dundee a culturally rich place to live. Help us give the city even greater depth in 2017.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Community involvement which takes a pride in it's heritage and culture such as Whitfield Community Centre , in the middle of a peripheral housing scheme, which was recently involved in an arts production in collaboration with Dundee Rep. This included drama, dance and a choral performance. Each performance was sold out and supported well by the Dundee public.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Nothing, Dundee can and does it has demonstrated its ability to make the future happen, its a place where you can add value, it treats you as a person, not as a number. Join in and see where you can make your voice heard.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Heart Space Yoga and the Whiteroom's - two vibrant and supportive yoga centres in the lovely city of Dundee. Nourishing folks, impoving health and mental well-being.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee has TALENT, BEAUTY, HUMOUR and a braw TWANG! Lets give the wonderful people of this wonderful city something to celebrate.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> For such a small city it has so much to offer - a large, diverse and active student population, beautiful scenery, many cultural events, a lively night scene with many bars and clubs open each night, excellent transport links and several historical sites! There is never a dull moment in Dundee and there really is something for everyone!

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> After more than a decade in Cambridge, I moved to Dundee on Sep 2013. I was reluctant at first, however its quirky charm has fascinated me. It is a welcoming place where people on the street greats you when you pass by, where the sharing of arts and human intellect is in the air. The breathtaking views, the DCA, the McManus, the discovery point, the multitude of independent coffees and restaurants, the vibrant atmosphere, the fresh and buzzing confidence of the waterfront redevelopment. Dundee is a unique place, to me culture is all around.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> There's a surprise around every Dundee corner. I came here to study 35 years ago and forgot to go home! This is a city that is comfortable with its own skin. Rich in history and resilience, the city gets knocked down but bounces back again. Dundee has yet to reach its full potential, it's getting there though... Love it!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The people more than anything else. It's a thriving cultural place, people all lovely, helpful and so much going on. A small city with a real buzz
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I was always very fond of the rich offering of non-high-street-chain shops in Dundee.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I don't think this is classed as a "hidden secret" but it's something I hope will be highlighted as part of Dundee's cultural activity - the annual blues bonanza held at the end of June each year - purported to be the biggest free blues festival in Europe, and hugely popular with the artists and audiences alike.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The supportiveness, openness and creativity locally leaves me constantly surprised. A week never goes by without me talking to someone who is planning an event or initiative to strengthen Dundee's community through culture, design and art. Would love to see this bid as a way to highlight how much great work is going on in Dundee.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> That I would want to live In Dundee forever!... It is a city that feels like a "vibrant village" full of friendly and inspiring people from all around the world. A magical place that keeps re-inventing itself. The V&amp;A at Dundee will be the icing on what is already a very rich cultural cake!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> There's always somewhere nice to go in the city. There's the museums, the galleries, the parks, the café's, the views; there's always something to do in this city! Coupled with the 2 fantastic universities and a diverse population you have a phenomenal city that I would be proud to have as my UK City of Culture 2017!

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is a city that has the ability to keep reinventing itself. From whaling to jute, jam and journalism to electronic technology to biomedics. A city that encourages each successive generation to achieve to their full potential. Music, writing, drama, dance, sport...a truly amazing place to have grown up in.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Lazy summer days at Magdalen Green. Chilli dogs in the Phoenix. Taking in an exhibition or two at DCA. Sun (decent amounts of it). Friendly attitudes. Fiddlers in Mennies. The Mandarin Garden (self proclaimed best chinese in scotland). Beaches on your doorstep. Countryside at your backdoor. The openness to change. The Big-Little city. Dundee.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Fantastic universities attracting great staff and producing top talent in a variety of fields. Stunning setting -The views /sunsets along the Tay are beautiful and unique to this city. The Mills observatory is the UK's only public observatory allowing people to learn and enjoy the night sky. Dundee has great potential and is evolving for the better.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I moved to Dundee 14 years ago. I love the vibrancy, the events scene, the bars, the people, the overall creativity of this fantastic city. It has brought me life, family, friends and love.
