<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Everything surprises me about Dundee. The resilience of the people, the beauty of the surroundings, the quality of the current vision for the City - Mostly though its the talent of the people; the music makers, artists, film makers, web designers, game designers, dancers, actors.....the list goes on and on. We produce, we create, we watch, we enable, we educate, we enjoy, we interact, we dundee.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee has TALENT, BEAUTY, HUMOUR and a braw TWANG! Lets give the wonderful people of this wonderful city something to celebrate.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I came to Dundee for a weekend break 39 years ago and never left. All those beautiful green parks with stunning countryside on the doorstep. Four theatres and two museums and a planned Arts Centre( now the DCA) offer plenty to do. The people always were,and still are, welcoming and friendly
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The universities and museums! Two universities mean that there are fantastic opportunities to acquire knowledge, both formally and informally (through diversity and cultural enrichment) and the newly refurbished McManus galleries offer an insight on all aspects of life in Dundee.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Despite enduring economic hardship in Dundee throughout the ages, Dundonians have been remarkably resilient in their stoic defence of human right and civil liberties. When then rally call has gone out, we have banded together, worked as a social and culture team to withstand and survive adversities. We are now in the process of, once more, evolving into the 21st Century as a major, global, technological player.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The Pecha Kucha nights run by Creative Dundee are fantastic and the give a real flavour of culture and creativity happening in and around Dundee. Seeing a range of fast visual presentations by designers, film makers, musicians, games developers, independent businesses. thinker, architects...... the list goes on! Alway inspiring and realising that the creative scene is much bigger than I ever imagined1
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> GENRAL GRANT'S VISIT TO DUNDEE When U.S. Grant paid a visit to my home town, They spruced it up with a lick of paint And then they showed him round, Two bands played in fierce competition As the rain came down, And the General said, "What a mighty long bridge to such a mighty little ole town." A man called Walsh hung from a window With the Starts and Stripes, And the orphan boys sang, "Alouette" It was sweetness and light, But as they sang the fire bell rang And they ran for their lives, "What well trained little orphans and a precious little song." Said the General's wife. <b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The amount of raw talent this city possesses. Eh Write! writing group at Fintry Community Centre, Voices in Harmony singing group at Whitfield Activity Centre, Art Class at Panmurefield village Church. Ordinary citizens with extraordinary skills and abilities being/needing encouraged. Becoming UK city of Culture 2017 will hopefully draw out and highlight these hidden gems. They are there - they only need to be uncovered !!!!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> We have so much to offer in such a small city, talent in abundance and lovely friendly people.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The spirit of creative collaboration; people are interested, helpful and open to working together on new ideas.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Cofaidh 's Ceilidh (Coffee and a blether) This is a group of gaelic speaking people, both learners and fluent, who meet fortnightly in the Dundee Repertory Theatre on a Saturday afternoon. It is an opportunity for fluent/native speakers to keep their language alive and to help learners use the language which they feel is part of their heritage. It also attracts those in the surrounding area who have an interest in the gaelic language.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> the amount of development and arts..not everyone knows about such great places such as the Mcmanus
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Its a great location. Its not a hidden secret. The River Tay is a most beautiful waterfront to cycle along. I came to work in Dundee 30+ years ago as NHS Tayside was providing innovative Clinical Psychology services. Dundee continues to develop better ways to reduce the impact of historical poverty. I have enjoyed living and working amongst friendly people who know their history is often a mix of wealth and hardship but are keen live in a thriving place and make this better for all. Concerts, theatre, parks and nightlife all contribute to this. Braithwaites tea &amp; coffee shop is just one small corner of this.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> My hidden gems of Dundee are the lovely green spaces in the most unlikely places all over the town. Parks and walks, such as Riverside and the Rock Garden in Broughty Ferry. My favourite Dundee people have to be the Park and Leisure Department! They do a wonderful job all year round. And what about our fireworks displays and the Christmas lights. So much to be proud of in Dundee.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I still find it amazing how many creative people live and work in Dundee. I am always hearing about someone new working in the creative industries e.g. at the Pecha Kucha nights in Dundee. These are great nights to find out more about what talented people are working here.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> With the whole country in what feels like a downward spiral of negativity, Dundee seems to buck that trend just now and there is a real sense of optimism. The physical transformation of the city undoubtedly contributes to a positive mindset, but in this case the mindset seems to be based on more than just bricks and mortar. Open minds, and a belief that things can be better if you are willing to work to make them better are setting the city up nicely for a great future which does justice to its great history.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> art bar, speedwells, parlour, djcad, dca, pheonic, frasers, grouchos.. thats dundee city.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The sunshine! Dundee is Scotland's sunniest city. Plus, there's a real buzz about the city city these days. It's a place I choose to live in.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee decided a long time ago that it was not going to be talked down to and look where it is going. it is ever changing, looking to the future with V&amp;A Dundee on its way, which will be housed within a stunning purpose built delight. But don't forget about the past look around and you can see what Dundee was with many beautiful buildings of years gone by.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The big sky and light quality of the estuary. Havana Swing and "The Smiling School for Calvinists". Dry weather and humour.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The welcome of people who live in Dundee: as an incomer I was struck by the warmth and generosity of Dundonians that finds expression in a range of contexts across the city.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Despite being stuck in between oil rich Aberdeen and tourist attraction Edinburgh the people of Dundee continue to forge ahead in transforming the city from an old industrial one to one of high-tech business, excellent education and an arts, and culture scene that is becoming more tourist and citizen friendly every day, regardless of boom and bust economics. While proud of our heritage, the people of Dundee continue to focus on their future, making it a better and brighter place for tomorrow.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I was proud to be leader of the council during the reopening of the McManus Galleries and also to see the beginnings of the waterfront development, both of which add significantly to Dundee's cultural landscape.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The hidden lanes in the west end. It's like stepping back 200 years and you can still feel the presence of those who lived there and hear the carriages the lanes were designed for. Each turn is a surprise. Great to get lost in!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> There is a great history of cultural strengths. There is terrific access to the arts to all segments of society, not just the affluent. This has always been a priority in Dundee and long may it continue!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The peacefulness of the rock gardens at Broughty Ferry. I walk there with my disabled son and it brings me a chance to switch off, revitalise my batteries and thank my lucky stars, we live in such a peaceful area. Living by a beach so close to us is a bonus to us as well!x
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> How Dundee is constantly breaking new ground in medical science.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I'm not Dundee born but live here now and will continue to. Not sure how exactly to put it into words, but I feel there is a feeling in Dundee of 'we're all in this together'. With that attitude, a lot could be achieved.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is home to a great university that combines talents from multiple fields, including science and art, and when these talents and skills are combined amazing things happen! Dundee is small but productive and innovative!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The richness and diversity of the arts and culture; the burgeoning technology industry and the determined spirit of the locals.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> What we like best about Dundee: Me, my wife and two boys simply love the Grassy Beach Walk from Stannergate to Broughty Ferry. The walk coupled with the views of the sun glistening off the River Tay are simply breathtaking. Ample reward is to be had at the end of the long pleasant walk with a cold drink or two (alfresco I might add) at the all too inviting Ship Inn by the side of the river. Where else in the UK can you spot dolphins bobbing in and out of the Silvery Tay and also catch a glimpse of Bob Servant's extension! Now thats what I call a family walk on a Sunday!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The Reading Rooms. Best venue in a 5-mile radius bringing great bands, DJs and nights to the city and supporting musicians, artists and everyone else. Catering for the underground in a funky old library that epitomises the redefinition of culture.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I enjoy the fact that the supporters of both big teams in the city get along so well before and after the Derby's in the local pubs. Both sets of fans want their team to win with a passion, but after the game they enjoy a pint and a chat together win,lose or draw.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I have lived in many cities and the people in Dundee are by far the friendliest I have come across. I think the fact that we have more sunshine here than anywhere else in Scotland does help
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Rich industrial and martime heritage of the city. Not just the Discovery but the lesser known gems such as the verdant works which give a real insight into the city's past. The most surprising is the departure point for the longest flying boat flight - a world record that remains to this day !

The passion and enthusiasm he displays for his city (and the similarly talented locals he chooses to freely showcases) displays a vigour and vibrancy which I think is unique and truly infectious. <b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The view from the top of Dundee Law must be one of the best city panoramas in Britain.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> What always surprises me about Dundee, is even after living there all my life, whenever I leave I look forward to going back. Maybe it's the community spirit, or just that it's the only place I feel truly at home.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> New Years Eve at the Balgay Bar: Live folk music and super friendly atmosphere in the only pub in the world where people say hello when you walk in. At the bells its straight into Auld Lang Syne and 200 old men descending on you for a handshake and a kiss! Classic!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee band REVOLVER is the best Beatles tribute band in the world
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee folk have the driest wit on the planet. Their quick humour requires a very thick skin. However this goes hand in hand with true kindness and community spirit. I love Dundee!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> There are hidden riches within the University of Dundee - for example the William McTaggart painting in the waiting room at the Dental Hospital. It was gifted by William Boyd, first chairman, a noted art collector who actually sold a Van Gogh to endow our first chair of dental surgery (though at the time he would have got more money if he'd sold the McTaggart!)
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The Miley Nature Reserve runs between Lawside and Lochee on the former site of north Scotland's first railway line, the Dundee and Newtyle railway. It is a secret sanctuary, hidden away amid the bustle of the city. It gives a new lease of life to the disused railway line, providing a new home for trees and songbirds.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is a city on the up, its regeneration is bringing about a cultural reawakening that is building upon an already proud cultural heritage of music, art, and comics, the home to contemporary museums and one of the UK's finest Art and Design institutions!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee University is such an important part of the creativity in art and science that has a huge positive impact in Dundee. The city has an abundance of people who make things happen.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The city's aspect, the river, its bridges, the weather, but most of all its friendly and talented people.....

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee has an amazing live music scene. There is something to suit all tastes at a number of great venues. The Blues Bonanza is an event Dundonians can be proud of.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The hidden beauty of a past industrial city surprises me every day. I am new to the city, having chosen to study in Dundee over the other cities that the UK has to offer, and every time I travel I am stunned by the beauty that the city has.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Well for such a small city, I personally think it is a great and fun place to live. I love the city centre, it might be minute compared to other cities but it is continuing to grow and develop into a place that could possibly rival the bigger cities centres. I think that the water front project, once it is finished, will look great and will bring more people down to Dundee. Also, the seating area outside the caird hall is being changed around, which will also make the town centre look better. There are some great looking buildings in Dundee right now and more on their way, such as the new olympia. There is no denying that Dundee has a lot to offer.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee Symphony Orchestra is full of committed, talented musicians who constantly challenge themselves with their 3 annual concerts, and receive enthusiastic support from their audience.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The way that Dundee's communities embrace creativity as a tool to bring people together, to break down barriers and to look positively at what the future might hold.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> It is simply a stunning place to live, with incredible views and access to nature and wilderness on your doorstep, but all the history and vibrancy of an ancient and thriving city. The people are warm and canny with an eye always open for progress they can believe in.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The warmth, the colour of the stone, the glimpses to the sea, the irish influence, the wynds, the theatre experience like your extended family's front room at the Rep, the great and obscure films, comfy seats at the DCA &amp; the vibe in the cafe/bar outside, the memory of Michael Marra everywhere, the bridges, the hope of seeing dolphins, the criss-cross bustle of the Ferry, the friendliest hairdresser ever, the cheek, the possibilities, the Discovery, the jute mills, the wide boys, green surprises like Baxter Park, the end of eyesores like Tayside House, the refurb of the Tay Hotel and the best cycle route across any bridge anywhere.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> In 1901 the RRS Discovery was launched from Dundee and took Captain Scott on an epic joiurney of discovery to Antarctica. What I find exciting about Dundee is that it is now the city itself that is on a journey of discovery with the people of Dundee as the crew.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I like the penguins in the centre of town and by the Discovery!

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I lived in Dundee for a year. Its a peaceful city with full of awesomeness. Bicycling around the city and nearby places was something I loved and I did quiet often when I was there. To be more specific, walking/cycling towards the Tay Port was always been a pleasure to me.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> There are so many opportunities for everyone in particular children and young people in education, and in the community through clubs and groups. Opportunities to learn to play music in an orchestra, group or band through school and outside school too. Lots of things to see and do from the Rep, DCA, the Dundee Science Centre, the Observatory, to the lovely views from the Law Hill. The history of Dundee told in the Verdant works, Discovery Quay Centre or McManus Galleries. Dundee is the City of Discovery.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Having studied at the University of Dundee for almost three years now, the way in which the university runs itself in relation to the city is incredible. I have really enjoyed the uni bringing in all aspects of Dundee to uni campus. It makes me feel like I not only belong at uni but I belong in Dundee itself.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is given a bad name. Really the city is vibrant, bouncing and full of lots of little surprises. From the quaint coffee shops and boutiques to the busy night life of the city centre. The grandeur of the Caird Hall to the spectacular views from the top of the Law.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Every time I come back to Dundee it's changed - something new and something different, each &amp; every time. This ability to change, move and adapt is a key link to why Dundee has been responsible for so many discoveries and inventions over the years - we are not stuck in the past and we are not scared of change therefore we can move forward. The future is a very exciting place for Dundee!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The Rep, Yoga studios, community groups, arts and cratfs - it is ALL on the doorstep in Dundee; superb river front walks, country parks and a zoo within the city limits - it's all here
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is the only city in the whole of the UK with Red Squirrels within the city boundaries. As an iconic species for Scotland this says a lot for Dundee and shows the depth of commitment from its Ranger Service and Parks Management. Camperdown Wildlife Centre is a very important conservation site for endangered species across Europe and the World, and plays an important role in educating our younger people and serves as a main centre of attraction.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee buzzes with creative energy. For a city of its size, it has a large and very active scene. Best of all, it has imaginative, creative, dynamic people who make it special!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The sunshine, and endless summer days of digging our allotment up on the Law, enjoying a BBQ and the amazing view over to Fife...

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is full of wonderful musicians, people and their own humour. The redevelopment that is going on is so overdue and when finished will place Dundee well and truly on the map of culture where it so rightly belongs.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee City Council&#039;s Housing Support Team. We are still fairly unknown even by our tenants but can help with a wide range of problems to do with people&#039;s tenancies
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> To me, Dundee is the modern version of a village community. I originally come from Liverpool, and Dundee has this kind of 'everyone's included' feel to it. It doesn't have the cold anonymity that is present in a lot of UK cities. Walking through town will often result in a chance encounter with someone I know. I'd say my favourite parts of Dundee are definitely the markets in the city centre. Though I've still not got the knack of finding out when they're scheduled, this sometimes adds to the magic. Dashing to town for errands and I'll turn the corner to be greeted with wooden huts and the smell of German sausages. Ambling through the stalls of local produce and crafts is the best study break a student can wish for.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Music, vibrant arts and culture, grassroots self organised cultural activities going on as well as via more established organisations like DCA and other venues
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> SUNSHINE! dundee is unique among all scottish cities beacuase of the amount of sun it gets. It should in fact be 'sunny dundee' not 'bonny dundee'! Dundee is a place where you grow, develop and experience new things, where you meet genuine, helpful and kind people, make fantastic friends for life and even find love of your life. And so it becomes one of those special places you can call home...
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art &amp; Design annual Degree Show at the University of Dundee. What a fantastic art and design teaching ethos and culture that exists within this Dundee institution to produce this showcase of talent each year.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee's never ending vibrancy, energy and beauty, the friendly people, the eclectic mix of born-and-bred Dundonians alongside the annual intake of students falling in love with the city. All the benefits of a large city condensed into a campus type environment, yet only a short drive to rural idyll. It's Fundee, it's Sunnydee, it's Dundee.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The historical buildings, the Scottish culture, the use of traditional teaching aids in the University, the lovely River Tay, and when I was there, a new casino opened!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The waterfront itself! Being able to jog along the path at sunrise is really quite something and when the V &amp; A at Dundee building is built the views will be spectacular!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The drama classes and workshops that the Rep Theatre offers - from young children to teenagers to adults and also for those with additional needs. We are so lucky in Dundee to have this - my friends in other cities are envious of what my kids have access to.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Love the way they are re-developing the City's waterfront - traffic a serious pain however it will all be worth it in the end. Majority of Dundee citizens are kind and considerate people and are very generous with local charities as well as national ones, particularly Charlie Kean. The culture within the city is growing all the time which makes me proud to be a Dundonian!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I love when I travel along in Perth road with a double decker and I can see the beautiful river Tay with the clouds and the sun. My original hometown is a big,busy city so I could hardly experience the nature like this. Also I love the green grass.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The Fireworks night fireworks! An amazing display and a great place for people to come together. They always mark the start of a special time in the year and I look forward to seeing them again this year.

For me the hidden beauty in dundee is the idea of connecting people together. There is incredibly huge amont of talented people in Dundee and the idea of connecting them together to make things happen is great. I remember when I was in my exchange year, my teacher Jonathan Baldwin tried to connect me to an illustrator student who is doing research of Chinese Calligraphy, while I am doing my master's project, my study advisor also introduces other brilliant people to me. Sometimes finding the right person to talk is an extremely efficient way of doing things
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Many people forget that we have a lovely beach on our door step! I pick up after my dog so people should pick up after themselves and their children. Lets keep in lovely.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Culture is more than just art, theatre and buildings it is also about history and social morals and I believe Dundee is second to none on these areas. 1777 Dundee Joseph Knight a “Negro” slave won his freedom from his master Wedderburn when he successfully argued that “slavery was not recognised by Scots Law and runaway slaves (or 'perpetual servants') could be protected by the courts, if they wished to leave domestic services or were resisting attempts to return them to slavery in the colonies”. This was in effect abolishing slavery 100 years before the UK Parliament. Dundee also has Mary Slessor who moved from Aberdeen to Dundee at the age of 11, Lily walker and many many more who stood up against tyranny and injustice to change the political and moral culture of our city and our country to make it more caring and equal for all.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is a really wonderful wee city with a brilliant creative community. Although I left Dundee almost a year ago now, I miss it dearly- and it just amazes me to see how much has changed in the past year. There's so much going on, and the people who live in Dundee are passionate about making it a great place to live and to stay. This city has so much potential- and the people to see that potential being fulfilled.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> SCUMDEE they said, don't go there. But I did. This is a city with ambition and guts, somewhere to watch. So much has changed in the last 10 years, I can't wait to watch in awe as the city expands into it's beautiful setting, stretching it's legs and showing the world what it is all about.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The wonderful situation on the banks of the Tay River. Still some lovely old architecturaly pleasing buildings. Upgraded macmanus gallery with excellent exhibitions. Dramatic site of The Ship Discovery with excellent exhibition and attractive visitor centre.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is full of strong characters who bind our communities together with a shared sense of resolve, grit and determination. I am always struck by the strong sense of identify that exists in Dundee and how when implemented can be a real force for positive change. That identity is not something that comes through nothing but through a development of a particularly strong culture.

Fascinating historic buildings like Macmanus and Caird Hall preserving a proud history. People cheerful and friendly despite recent economic difficulties.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> As a native Dundonian who has not lived there for 28 years, it's still a city I know better than anywhere else. The place? must be the Law Hill. The views are quite breathtaking, taking in the entire city, and beyond.
