The city it’s self is very diverse. There are people from all over the world. The surprising thing is the amount of art’s and culture events which are going on, there is world class art at the McManus gallery’s, soon there will be a V&A too. There is a live music scene all over the city, and also a media scene from Comic books to photography. These areas are all influenced by the different nationalities within.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is a great place to live and work, has great links to other cities and places throughout Scotland. Its also one of the sunniest cities in Scotland!!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Having never stepped foot in the city until my first day at University I had no idea what to expect, but the friendliness and welcoming attitude got me straight away, 11 years later I feel like Dundee is home, and I am very excited about what my future holds living in this ever developing city. The open spaces in Dundee are great, you never feel enclosed. With such easy access to beautiful countryside, beaches, hills and forests, why would you need to live anywhere else?

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> It contains one of the best UK universities. The Dundonians are blessed with the human feelings. Dundee at my time was an ideal city for education, and I am sure it is still. The weather is stunning and marvellous.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I was Born in Dundee Royal Infirmary and Like so many things in Dundee it is gone and been replaced with something Better. I moved away when I was 18 (Now 45) I always had fond memories of MY home City but when I returned 20 odd years later it had transformed from the old City it was into a Vibrant Beautiful City it is today the best thing I liked was the Big ship Docked there in the edge of town. But it has retained the best parts of the Old City the architecture is still beautiful.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee's got a great location, lots of history, culture and vibrancy and is a great place to visit.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I am from Dundee myself but live in Norway. The thing I love about being Dundonian is that we are proud of where we come from despite often being the butt of jokes by people from other cities. When I got married in Dundee the Norwegians loved Dundee and Dundonians. There are many famous Dundonians that have contributed a lot to national and international culture. From astronomers to actors. One of my favourite places is the Mills Observatory. Hidden in the trees of Balgay, the observatory is a local gem.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee&#039;s musical community is diverse and ever changing but the scene&#039;s soul is, well... soul. Horns and big, big voices. One of my greatest ever nights out was dancing to Mafia in the Angus Thistle hotel at the age of 15 with my cousin Billy. And on a school night too. This wee city on this mighty Scottish river jumping to the best of american soul. God knows how but everyone knows why.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Sunniest city in UK, in an exquisite setting on the Silvery Tay. Small and compact yet has with a vibrant social and academic environment, including two Universities.

Two universities mean that there are fantastic opportunities to acquire knowledge, both formally and informally (through diversity and cultural enrichment) and the newly refurbished McManus galleries offer an insight on all aspects of life in Dundee.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Many organisers and conference delegates visiting the city have been wowed by the friendliness of the people and how much Dundee has to offer outwith key cities such as Edinburgh or Glasgow. Dundee is becoming a vibrant and exciting cultural destination and I am delighted to be a part of it!!

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I went to visit friends from University in Dundee and was surprised at everything the city had to offer. I particularly enjoyed my visit to verdant works and cocktails on the terrace in the sun at the DCA.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The Waterfront project is a huge demonstration of confidence in Dundee's future and has already drawn significant investment into the city. V&amp;A at Dundee is a project that will, like DCA in 1999, change the perception of Dundee as a major centre of culture. The Waterfront project demonstrates the value of a visionary approach to both physical infrastructure and the importance of culture as a means of achieving economic and social regeneration. I'm confident that Dundee Waterfront will continue to surprise people for many years to come.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> No matter where one lives in Dundee, a view of the silvery Tay is very close. The river Tay is like a woman - ever interesting, ever questioning, ever fascinating. To see the seals on the sandbanks, when the tide is low, and to watch the bottle-nose dolphins leap and play, early on a summer's evening is an unforgettable joy.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The rich amount of history. Walk off any Main Street and find something. Eg. Cemetery in centre of town, law hill, verdant works, unicorn, Tay bridge. Wherever you go there is history shaping the city,
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> After living in another area I now realise how much I miss my home town. Proud to say I am a Dundonian!!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee to me is a city of perseverance, passion and pride. I chose to live in the city because of my strong families ties. In my family, storytelling is important, whether it's reminiscing about past events or passing down fables. These stories transfer a rich tapestry of experience on to the next generation. The regenerating of Dundee's industrial heritage has reinvigorated the City and can be interpreted as a symbol for personal transformation. My secret spot is the mosaic bench in Finlathen Park next to the Dighty Burn. A little bit of public art that adds to its setting. I would love to see some stone sculptures from a nearby artist on display there too. His work is inspiring and amazing.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I meet several people during my forty days visit to Dundee. one person i would like to mention specially Dr. Laszlo from CTU, University of Dundee, UK. A lot has been learnt from him, politeness and smile on his face, the way he treated us as his students. I bow and regard him from bottom of my heart, UK will be remembered and discussed always because of the royal behavior of its people for all. The world can learn from Dundee how one can behave as human.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Despite Dundonians propensity to bemoan and belittle their city , Dundee punches above its weight for many reasons: Two universities that are leaders in their respective fields; University of Dundee, the mature sibling an internationally renowned leader in medicine and cancer research. Abertay, the cocky younger sibling, leading the way in video gaming, forging dynamic international links with major players and its internationally acclaimed ‘Dare to be Digital’ competition. Art with the nationally acclaimed Rep, local amateur companies and the DCA with cutting edge exhibitions and foreign cinema. Accessible history with the McManus Museum, Discovery Point, Verdant Works and the Howff an ‘A’ listed Burial Ground.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I have looked out on the Tay all my life, now I have a view with the bridges in it now, I love that every day I look out the river changes. And it's even better from the top of the Law!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Rich historic city with vibrant cultural and buisness sectors, has one of the best waterfronts in europe and comes alive at night with great friendly people - back the bid!! :-))

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Love that Dundee is a huge village pretending to be a city. Forget about 6 degrees of separation, in Dundee its always 2 degrees. People are friendly, and make everyone welcome due to its matriarchal society, forget about women's movement, Dundee women have always been the centre of the workforce.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee has been a thriving cultural hub for decades if not centuries. With the refurbishment of the McManus Galleries the Dundee story has been well expressed and both reflected and built upon. The creation of the V&amp;A and the building of a new railway station by 2017 will allow Dundee to be more easily shared with the rest of the UK and the city of culture status would further evidence that we as a city have an exciting future ahead.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> My parents lived in Dundee just before I was born, but they still took me to the wonderful city often to visit old friends and enjoy the culture. My best memories are from the Contemporary Arts centre.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Traditional Music is kept alive by a small group of musicians, not just from Dundee, but from all over. They perform for free to anyone who listens, keeping traditions arrived. The Fishermans Tavern Session on a Thursday night, is just 1 of Dundee's hidden gems.

It doesn't seem to matter what is achieved in Dundee, there is a sense of constantly striving forward. Dundee is vibrant cultural hub with an industrial past, which reflects the positivity of the welcoming people who live here.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee's rich heritage ... a century ago one of the most prosperous small cities in Europe ... the richness fading during my lifetime as two of our famous three J's - Jam, and Jute - disappeared ... five decades of recovering and building from such unanticipated adversity ... we have grown though all this ... and now ... about to reach for the stars ... 'If a man's reach can not exceed his grasp, then what's a heaven for' ... my city is ready ... to fully recover it's self esteem ... it will be a great day for Dundonians if City of Culture day dawns on the Tay ...

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee has so many "hidden secrets" - people, places organisations that excel and are world-leading in what they do - but we never hear about them. Who would have thought that a Dundee firm most of us have never heard of would have its product in the Clinton Presidential Library in Arkansas!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> A city on the east coast of Scotland, but with the most fantastic sunsets! Stand at the top of Ninewells Avenue when the tide is out and enjoy the amazing views of an almost empty River Tay.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is an amazing city which deserves to be recognised as the UK city of culture. There are various reasons for it including the various interpretations of the term 'culture'. In terms of cultural capital, there is a lot of cultural diversity within our communities, which come together through public fora and work of the organisations such as our primary and secondary schools, two universities, college, Dundee Rep, DCA, McManus Galleries etc. One has to just google 'what is on in Dundee' to realise that we have various cultural events everyday and every individual in the city directly or indirectly plays a part in making this city so culturally rich. The arrival of V&amp;A is going to put us even more prominently on the world map as the cultural city of not only UK but the world. We strongly believe that Dundee is THE UK city of culture!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Great musicians, poets and artists working in an exciting environment.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> That it produces music of such diverse style, colour and excellence. The Annual Dundee Blues Festival, brings acts from all over the world, giving the locals of Dundee a chance to experience the richness and culture of world class Blues music.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is a multicultural town because of the different races and culture of people living in it. With two universities and one college, it offers a diverse community as students from different parts of the world choose to study in Dundee.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee was Scotland's second city for over 200 years and by area had Scotland's largest medieval city centre.

It's the friendly atmosphere that it creates that leads you to meet people from all walks of life. The result is a meeting of minds and creativity.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The more I travel away from Dundee the more I appreciate it. It has everything. It is big enough to be busy and small enough to be easily accessible. You really appreciate the scenery, the mix of hills, the Tay, urban areas with a lot of green parks and trees very nearby. You really appreciate that when you travel to flat, landlocked towns in England for example. Dundee has everything.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> From the view of the stunning sunrises over the Tay, to sunset sitting on Magdalen Green with friends, to drinking tea in one of the many cute coffee shops on the Perth Road, to the vibrant university student life, to the welcoming nature of the city. Dundee is home.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> As a young Fifer, I rarely visited Dundee except to shop. Now I live and work in Dundee and feel part of the whole cultural environment
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The attitude of the people in Dundee is first class, 99per cent are behind the proposed waterfront project, When this project is finished, the Va Museum, new Railway Station and the New 5 star hotels opened Dundee will be a place to be reckoned with.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> There is a great history of cultural strengths. There is terrific access to the arts to all segments of society, not just the affluent. This has always been a priority in Dundee and long may it continue!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> It is incredible to see this City growing and thriving on all the support it is currently receiving. Long may it last.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Moving from York to Dundee for university I was surprised at the city's natural beauty! everywhere you go there is a diverse set of buildings all telling the history of the city, how it has grown and been developed. From student bars and clubs, art spaces and good food, Dundee represents the world in a city.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Two of the less known gems I know of are Preston Watson from Dundee who pre-dated the Wright brothers with the first motorised flight. The other story I have heard and cannot confirm is that the sand within the Tay is a perfect consistency for Baseball mounds and running areas, so close to perfection in fact that it is dredged and shipped out to the USA and is exclusively used for MLB matches by it's official teams. Would love this to be true!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Coming here in 1993 I have never been let down by the city's enthusiasm for development and growth. "Big enough to be a city, yet small enough to be friendly" has always been an unofficial motto banded about on its' streets and one that it lives up to. I have been proud to be part of the city through the Univeristy of Dundee and it's motto to "Transform LIves" and see how these changes still happen on a daily basis in the hearts, minds and souls of the Dundee population who continue to strive for change for the better.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee University Archives are innovators in their attitude to accessibility and in addition to the richness of their local collections have surprising hidden gems like their collection of early photographs of the Beatles.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> i love Dundee!! born and bred here too! my personal feelings about Dundee involve the amazing natural talents of the Dundee people. having been involved in Community Drama for over 30 yrs,i have came across Dundee people who are dedicated and passionate about arts in the community,wether it be drama,dance music visual art etc. the talent is amazing,and has been for many years,my only criticism would be we(Dundee fowk) tend to be a bit shy at singing their own praises,therefore,some talented people slip through the net,we have to be supported in keeping community arts alive n kicking!hopefully the arrival of the V&amp;A will open up community projects to the wonderful people of Dundee

I have seen people struggle through periods of immense poverty and deprivation and yet been amazed at the way they have helped to change and rejuvenate the city - through their belief in the place and their determination . I remember the singer/songwriter Michael Marra as an inspirational voice of the people and "Witch's Blood" as an incredible example of a life changing community arts project that is still remember 26 years after it was produced'
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> so many wonderful things about a city always looking towards the future of discovery. whether its art (v&amp;a), music (rustyhipcollective) or science (research centre) dundee has it all!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The richness and depth of the student scene in Dundee that exists alongside a city that has a long and illustrious history but continues to be modern and vibrant and will continue to be a great city for the future.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Not sure if this is what you're after, but what I love about Dundee is getting out of it! Nothing beats a cycle up Auchterhouse hill, sitting on top of the world in the Sidlaws overlooking the city that you've just escaped, the Tay, Tentsmuir , the Carse all laid out before you. There's no exclusivity or snobbishness up there - every man and his dog (in jeans or lycra) feel privileged to bear witness to such a beautiful sight.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The more than 60 Dundonians who volunteered to go to Spain to fight for democracy and against fascism between 1936 and 1938 in the Spanish Civil War. The inspiring story of both those who volunteered to fight in, and those in Dundee who helped support the victims of, a conflict in a country of which they knew little, but whose outcome they felt to be crucial to their own lives. 17 Dundonians never returned by lie in Spanish soil. Mary Brooksbank imortalised then in her poem 'Graves in Spain'.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Urban realm architecture to modern design from Frank Gehry, World cuisine dining throughout the city, Entertainment from theatre to dancefloor, Many activities from golf, walks, botanic gardens, parks, wildlife zoo, indoor karting, ice skating, cinemas, bingo, swimming centre and much more. The Caird hall which hosts big concerts and live performances from the world of entertainment. Welcome to Dundee , have fun we do !!!!!!!!!!!!!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> If you see Dundee in sunshine, it is a lovely place. Yet seeing it when it rains and all is grey and the Tay river whirls with the wild currents, that is what summons the bitter-sweet nostalgia of the past, of the industrial times and streetcars passing through the city center.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> What surprises me about Dundee is how little people living outsidethe City realise how much Dundee has changed over the years and what a fantastic place this is to live,work and visit. I have lived in Dundee all my life and have raised my family here and I would never have had it any other way.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I enjoy the fact that the supporters of both big teams in the city get along so well before and after the Derby's in the local pubs. Both sets of fans want their team to win with a passion, but after the game they enjoy a pint and a chat together win,lose or draw.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> walking along the Grassy Beach in Broughty Ferry on a blustery, sunny day heading towards Dundee enjoying the view of the Law and the Bridge, then turning back to walk home, and seeing Broughty Castle standing proudly - guarding the mouth of the river Tay - undoubtedly out best asset

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The city; all the random, unexpected adventures it holds. The variety of characters you will meet, the memories, and feelings you will share. It's beauty especially down by the water overlooking across. An adventure like no other.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Unassuming. Despite the magnificent setting, the wonderful cultural quarter and being the gateway to some of Scotland's most spectacular scenery. The courage and vision of the Council which have led to so many changes in recent years, have created confidence but lost none of that lovely unassuming and quietly courteous quality which characterises Dundee.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> It is set in the most beautiful setting, students, gaming, history beyond belief, Jute, Jam, Journalism!! What more could I say. Beautiful beaches, Winston Churchill Lived here!! William Wallace went to school here and we have Olympic champions too
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The peacefulness of the rock gardens at Broughty Ferry. I walk there with my disabled son and it brings me a chance to switch off, revitalise my batteries and thank my lucky stars, we live in such a peaceful area. Living by a beach so close to us is a bonus to us as well!x
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> It surprised be to learn that the roots of some of the biggest games within the video games industry started in Dundee over two decades ago.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I was born and grew up in Broughty Ferry- a beautiful wee town in the most idyllic of situations- a suburb of dundee. However I spent my teens exploring and adventuring around the streets and meandering cobbles of Dundee's city centre- I had a relatively sheltered childhood but Dundee's surprisingly vibrant fashion and music scene opened my eyes to a world of culture and diversity. I loved sitting outside st Mary's in the sunshine soaking up the rays, atmosphere and architecture and taking in art and cocktails at the DCA in the evening (the terrace is a godsend) and catching an abstract array of DJ's at the Reading Rooms until the wee hours...
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> When you go on a wee donder somewhere you always find cool stuff to have a look at what you've never seen before
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Not only is Dundee a sunny City which manages to mix historic and modern very well, it's also a friendly City. No matter where in the City you are - the Centre, Broughty Ferry, St. Mary's, no-one will leave you feeling lost or lonely. I've lived in many areas within the City and felt at home in each at different times. Dundee also has it's own weather system where the climate and temperature can be vastly different only 5 miles apart. There's so much of interest in Dundee, I'm still learning new stuff about my City after 40 odd years. I wouldn't live anywhere else!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The seals, dolphins, cormorants and all the other beautiful wildlife along our shores/sandbanks should not be forgotten about. AND it is Scotland's sunniest city!!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> In terms of a walk from edge to edge of town, there is an amazing variety of specificities.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I love the West end of Dundee. It still has the little businesses that have been pushed out of other cities by big chains.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> As a technical educator at Dundee University's DJCAD, I'm amazed by the undergraduate student body who are - uniquely in the UK - so comfortable and adept at blending Art and Design skills with bleeding edge technologies. A great source of pride to those of us who guide them.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> This is a city where what you do feels noticed and appreciated. Dundee has an encouraging and supportive atmosphere for creative ventures and isn't afraid to be itself! Places like Creative Dundee, Tin Roof, Hot Chocolate Trust, The Rusty Hip Collective, Generator Projects, Flyboy Productions and Art Angel are great examples of people setting up their own thing and connecting with our community together. So happy to live here!!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Generator Projects! With out a doubt my favorite thing about Dundee, a really strong curatorial team who curate some of the best exhibitions of emerging artists anywhere in the UK. Then there are the Yuck'n'Yum guys with there AGK (Annual General Karaoke)
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Its really come on since I lived there until 2007.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I've lived in Dundee since 1985 and to this day the humour, the dry wit of the people still engages me. In town, the medieval rubs up against Starbucks, dotcom computer-game creators drink in the Phoenix next to old guys who worked in the boatyard. Go down to the riverside, look left and there's nothing out there until Denmark. 28 years in the city and I've been banged on the nose only once and, on that occasion, I was really asking for it. That has to say something.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The fantastic architecture in the city centre - it is easy to just walk past without looking up and seeing the beautiful buildings.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Brilliant city set in the most beautiful Scottish countryside. A large enough city to meet every need with a 'small town community'. I've lived in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Dundee - Dundee by far is the best.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The Buzz around the city and the combined excitment about the waterfront no matter who people are.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is set in an absolutely fantastic location, definitely one of the best in the UK - stunning views across the Tay and to the hills beyond.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> How Dundee is constantly breaking new ground in medical science.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> One of Dundee's hidden secrets is the wonderful night sky which can be seen above and around it - as most Dundonians sleep there can often be see the Northern Lights and rare Noctilucent clouds giving a wonderful backdrop to the city. Dundee is a photographers paradise - from the at times quirky architecture, its stunning location on the Tay, its bridges, its surrounding countryside, and its people - always varied, always individual, always Dundonian :)
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Long history of Dundee. Battle &amp; Casstle at mid age.At modern age, industrial revolution- jute jam and journalism,antarctic expedition, research ( life science, gaming, surgical &amp; anaesthetic instruments)-- in a sentence- a city of discovery , a city of innovation. At present Dundee is a member of best 21 itellectual communities in this world.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I've been invited by my scottish friend to experience the family Ceilidh. Though one word is not enough the describe it all, I would say: AWESOME, I had a really good time. You definitely need to experience it at least once in your life (with a kilt of course!). I think I'll cherish these memories my entire life, and I'll sign-up in the second when the next ceilidh is planned! Dundee is a nice, peaceful place, where you can breath fresh air, swim in the water, or walk on the beautiful shore. There are plenty of museums around to visit too.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The straightforward honesty of Dundee people allied to a razor sharp wit mixed with amazing creativity, particularly displayed by young people, makes this one of the most surprising places to be.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The creativity and talent within the city's games industry always impresses me.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The beautiful views of the River Tay from Riverside Drive out towards the airport - especially at sunset! The excitement in the city at the arrival of V&amp;A and the changes at the waterfront - it's going to be amazing!! Can't wait till the Tayside House building is totally flattened.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The depth of creative talent in Dundee is something we should be immensely proud of, and we should be making more of a big deal about it. There are tiny gigs and exhibitions going on all the time in the city, and you never have to look far for one. We have so many talented people and they are so often overlooked.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I love my city, even created my own blog dedicated to it, so my friends and relatives can find out more about this place.
