<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I loved Dundee ever since my girlfriend went there for Uni. I love the city people are lovely and I love a good walk along the Tay.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The view from the law hill is one of Dundee's hidden gems and allows you to see the evolving story of the changes occurring in Dundee, and still view it's past, it's present and its future.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> There are beautiful views across the silvery tay with twinkling lights on the bridges at night even more beautiful from the Law Hill monument where you can see across the magnificent sights of the picturesque Bonnie Dundee. We also have buildings which have the wow factors such as morgan academy and mcmanus gallery and other beautiful features such as Discovery .
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee has become my 'home from home' over the past 13 years. I moved here at 17 to study and have never left! I love the fact that Dundee is a city, yet it is right next to the countryside.I love running along the river front and strolling along Broughty Ferry beach with an ice cream from Vissochis. I enjoy admiring the views of Dundee from the other side of the Tay Bridge. I enjoy the buzz from the West End and the Cultural Quarter and the diversity of the people you meet here.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Cofaidh 's Ceilidh (Coffee and a blether) This is a group of gaelic speaking people, both learners and fluent, who meet fortnightly in the Dundee Repertory Theatre on a Saturday afternoon. It is an opportunity for fluent/native speakers to keep their language alive and to help learners use the language which they feel is part of their heritage. It also attracts those in the surrounding area who have an interest in the gaelic language.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Just look down the Tay from Riverside on a sunny morning. It just make the whole world right. If there's a better view anywhere.........................
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The Dundonian sense of humour, the integrity and pride of its people, the diversity of culture, the beautiful setting on the river Tay! The world renowned work in science, the brilliant paper mâché Mills Observatory and, the Law! My friend's kids, on visiting the city, were so amazed to be standing atop a once active volcano! Going forward, we have the city's exciting regeneration project to look forward to.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Its riddled with irish invaders (myself included) and its just like being at home... minus the relentless bombing of each other. Clarkes 24 hour bakery is an absolute delight and the biggest asset dundee has to offer. Serving the burst student community and lining their stomachs for the lecture filled day just a few hours away. KEN THAT!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> My son Don Nicolson and daughter Cindy Nicolson were both born in the city. Don is a singer songwriter who won Dougie McCleans songwriter of the year award a few years back, and plays solo gigs all over the place. Cindy is also a singer songwriter who sings solo and is a vocalist/guitarist/songwriter with the group Mamasbaby which plays all over Perth and dundee, the highlands and toured europe as did Don. They are very talented people and come from a long line of musicians. My father who died at the age of 37 from cancer was a singer song writer too and he was the trainer for the under 21s Osborne team in Dundee back in the 40`s.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> It's a great city for walking in. A 30 minute stroll can encompass wonderful waterfront views, a gallery or museum and a great independent cafe.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The buzz around all of the cultural events; from fantastic productions at Dundee Rep Theatre to packed lectures on a Saturday night.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> As a foreigner, the first thing that surprised me is the kindness of the Dundonians! I walk a lot in the city everyday and according to the weather, you have a different magic view everyday ! Hills surrounding Dundee, Dundee Law, residential neighbourhood, town center. It's amazing and so pleasant to walk and just observe the city !
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Rusty Hip is a Dundonian music collective that organizes gigs, writes zines and keep people informed about upcoming music and art events in the city. Rusty Hip had their first event last month and over 250 people turned up in the freezing cold to have a good time. The event was held in Tin Roof, an arts collective and studio space also based in Dundee. The existence of these two organisations has added to the growing number of organisations that make Dundee a city full of culture.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Amanda Lowson at Dundee Reps community division. I remember her excitement on the day of her interview; 20 years on she is still a bundle of enthusiasm and excitement which never fails to inspire every adult and child she has contact with. Folk grow taller around her! Definitely one of Dundee's best kept secrets :)
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> AMBITION and LOYALTY i LOVE that the people of Dundee have HUGE ambitions and are very loyal to the city. I strive to meet my ambitions everyday and for five years have seen a MASSIVE amount of my customers share and live theirs too!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Great place to live, work and enjoy.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> For me it has everything I'd want in a city, good nightlife, restaurants, culture and shopping. It is also centrally positioned to the big two (Edinburgh and Glasgow) as well as ideally situated for my daily commute to Aberdeen for work. If the estuary could be dredged/lowered to allow easier (non-tidal) access for more offshore vessels and possibly build an offshore business hub on the harbour for oil and gas jobs it would indeed be perfect

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> After one year in Dundee, my life has been changed. I discovered myself and the world in new ways. This is one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. I learned how to communicate across cultures and had chances to see historic monuments and famous arts. Due to my immature thinking, I might have caused some misunderstandings, but the lecturers had a sympathy, they forgave mistakes of mine. I studied on ​​a topic that I love and received invaluable advices from Professor. I believe these experiences would translate into benefits throughout my life &amp; ... I miss the city :)
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The Dundee Rep, been delivering great theatre for years and has a commitment to the community excellent.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> that no matter what high spot you are standing on in Dundee we have the most stunning views surrounding us from the view across the tay to the sidlaws at the back .
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Discovery Film Festival showcases a brilliant programme of films from around the world specifically children of all ages(even for the young at heart!) Hosted by DCA at the end of October for two weeks it offers an insight into the film industry with it's Youth Film Screen Weekend, workshops with a difference but most of all a unique and hugely enjoyable selection of films. Helping with the programme are a team of young film enthusiasts known as the Discovery Young Ambassadors. The festival brings young children and teens the very best of cinema as well as a great festival experience with its special events and the gallery exhibitions.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Not sure if this is what you're after, but what I love about Dundee is getting out of it! Nothing beats a cycle up Auchterhouse hill, sitting on top of the world in the Sidlaws overlooking the city that you've just escaped, the Tay, Tentsmuir , the Carse all laid out before you. There's no exclusivity or snobbishness up there - every man and his dog (in jeans or lycra) feel privileged to bear witness to such a beautiful sight.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is amazingly clean when compared to other cities. My wife is from Liverpool and her first comment on visiting Dundee for the first time was how well presented it is. There are hidden gems everywhere like the nature walk between the Esplanade and railway in Broughty Ferry, and Duntrune Garden in Dawson Park. And there are few things better than watching the dolphins in the Tay on a glorious summers morning.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The famous Nine Trades of Dundee --nine groups keeping alive 500 years of tradition and culture through the ancient guilds which made Dundee thrive --from medieval times. A great legacy.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The city is an architecture lover's paradise! The past wealth of the city is clear to see in the architectural beauty of so many buildings.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> As an incomer I have discovered so many hidden wonders, from her Industrail Heritage in Jute, Jam and Journalism to the strength and vitality of the women of the city, as Civil Rights and Trade union Leaders as well as religious icons. Dundee's history is a wonderful web of intrigue enriched by her people. I love that the Universities integrate so well and add to that. We have much to be proud of! A walk round Balgay Cemetery tells amazing stories.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee has something for everyone! Its a collective of things that makes the city great. There are plenty parks, ponds and the beautiful 'Silvery Tay'. Its a convenient and enjoyable place for families, couples, students and anyone who gives it a try! Easy to commute to and from. Ninewells is a fantastic teaching Hospital that is often in the news with the latest in science and technology.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Scotland’s Jute Museum @ Verdant Works A fantastic look back in time to the height of the Industrial Revolution and the social and economic impact that the Jute industry had on Dundee (Jutopolis). A historical commentary on the social issues that affected Dundee at the time.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Beautiful city with a fabulous location and THE most friendly, funny people. Drinking Pinot Grigio whilst watching dolphins on Brought Ferry beach swim by - priceless :-)

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is an amazing city, over 800 years old it has a rich historic past and plenty of hidden 'secrets'. We have historic streets and buildings, beautiful parks, the Law, the Tay... the list goes on. There is something for everyone , fantastic restaurants and bars, the McManus,a brilliant arts and music scene. The most important thing about Dundee though, is the people, they are friendly, funny and welcoming, so people new to the city quickly begin to feel at home!

Lots of hidden secrets,some well known assets. The rich musical heritage furthered by talented singers,songwriters and performers who just want to share their particular talent with people,not for riches. The Finlathen aquaduct a hidden listed building taken for granted but an important reminder of a rich industrial past.Also a well known local battleground for the various"tribes".

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I've come to this place to learn new skills and never planned to stay. That was about 8 years ago. Ever since then this city has kept me fed, happy, working, learning, experiencing amazing new things, meeting great new people and not wanting to leave.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Continually evolving and re-inventing itself whilst celebrating its past, Dundee is renowned for its multi-cultural tolerance and embraces its diversity more than any city I've experienced in the UK. Civic pride has seen a long overdue resurgence in a city often overshadowed, unjustly, by its neighbours. A keen eye will also detect a subtly unique architectural style not witnessed elsewhere in Scotland.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is set in an absolutely fantastic location, definitely one of the best in the UK - stunning views across the Tay and to the hills beyond.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is one of the most beautiful locations in Britain with the banks of the Tay on one side and the sidllaws on the other to capture the four seasons of the year. The people make the city and Dundee has the charactors and people to make any city proud. The very roots of Scotland are based here and the city today is as commercially successful as ever to be City of Culture 2017. Dundee maybe has no oil revenue but historical and cultural we are as good if not better to carry the flag.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The amount of diversity and talent within Dundee's creative industries never ceases to amaze.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> the whale oil an' the stoor it's in the blood - way down in the depth and the darkness of our river you can feel it coming in like a distant whispering in the wind blowing in wi' the haar from the north east it's in the sweep of the girders that cross the Tay over the wide expanse of water it's in the re built bridge that took us forward to the re discovery it's deep down with the feeling of pride in the building of ships for the whalers in the hard grey dockyards along the water's edge the ships that connected us with the world beyond and reached out to the furthest away places on earth
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Born and educated in Dundee from 1946 -1972 I have been astounded by the transformation of the city over the last 40 years. As the transformation continues returning to the city and the University are always a revelation. Dundee continues to be a vibrant visionary city and shall always have a place in my heart.

<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> What a situation Dundee finds itself in, surrounded by some of the best scenery in the UK. Whether crossing the Tay by road or rail from Fife the view of Dundee is stunning, or approaching from Perth along by the river when the bridges come into view takes my breath away. Travel just a few miles to the north and the Sidlaws are a Mecca for walkers and Dundee's own hills. Mustn't forget the Tay,walk in either direction and be rewarded with superb views. Can it get any better?
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Growing up rather poor and with some nasty experiences I came to the point in 6th year of highschool where I was ready to leave my hometown and pursue my dream of becoming a clinical psychologist. I had some outstanding achievements- sporting and otherwise- but I feared that my studying had been very much inhibited by my circumstances. The University of Dundee uniquely offered me the opportunity of summer school as a condition, having sent out an email asking of any outstanding circumstances. This holistic view and kindheartedness shone out above the other universities and I excitedly accepted.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> My 7 year old took a 'fossil' find from the beach to the McManus Galleries in Dundee. The response of the staff was incredible: thoughtful to my 7 year old and very informative from their investigation, in fact an oyster shell from Mediaeval times. We've lived in Dundee for 7 years and there are lots of places to visit, it's a great place for my young children and for us as parents. We enjoy cycling on the Promenade at Broughty Ferry too.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> For me, by far the most alluring spot in Dundee is the Law Hill which on a clear day has one of the most spectacular panoramic views in Scotland. It has a timeless feel, being able to survey the remnants of the City's history with its factory chimneys and tenements and its future in the waterfront development. One can gaze in wonder at The Silvery Tay and the two bridges whch span it, taking in the Kingdom of Fife to the South and the Sidlaw Hills to the North.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The accent - no one sounds like us - bales of jute in every sentence!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The fact that it is geographically ideal. Within 90 minutes of the other three major cities, 20 minutes to the Angus Glens and 20 minutes to St. Andrews. Experience the city, experience the countryside, experience the coast, experience the golf, experience Dundee.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundonian people have a very friendly which has often led to the most interesting conversations on the bus! It never fails to surprise me how helpful people can be when you need a hand.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The thing that surprised me most when i moved here was the number of independent shops and restaurants, there are some hidden gems like Dukes corner for music and food. Just walking down Perth road there is hardly a chain store on show, with numerous independent coffee shops and small art stores. Its not all bad in Dundee at all.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is not a big city, it's maybe not even a well known city. However, what it lacks in size or fame, it makes up for in quality. Aside from the booming arts scene, I believe that it punches well and truly above it's weight in the field of science. Whether it's fighting cancer, investigating diabetes or tackling tropical diseases, scientists from over 62 nationalities work in Dundee- truly the city of discovery!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is truly cosmopolitan. People come from all over the world, fall in love with it, and are always sorry to leave. It has everything you need and there is always something going on or something new to see. My favourite things are the McManus, the DCA, Balgay Hill, the Blues Bonanza, the Duncan of Jordanstone Degree Show and the view from my house.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The amount of live music available is absolutely amazing. There is always some where to go on a Friday or Saturday night. Whether it is classical, pop or blues, you can find somewhere that suits you.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I'm excited about the v&amp;a at Dundee coming soon. I also loved the Degree Show trip I had with nursery. The room with wool was fantastic. And going to drama classes at the Rep, an amazing community theatre.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee City Council&#039;s Housing Support Team. We are still fairly unknown even by our tenants but can help with a wide range of problems to do with people&#039;s tenancies
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> No place can beat Dundee for green space and places to walk. Just begin to list the parks. Walking through cemetery and up to the observatory gives stunning views across Invergowrie bay and then to the North. Having lived in Glasgow for six years, I am continually reminded of what a great job the City does maintaining the parks and keeping the streets and open areas clean. Everyone I encourage to visit, loves it and can't believe they have never thought of coming to Dundee before.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Spex pistols.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The BLUE BLUE sky, the WHITE WHITE cloud, and the KIND KIND people here! I made lots of friends here, and most of them like badminton as I do. Also the UNION is the second best place here, while the ISE is the best for me I think. I got a wonderful riding along the Tay bridge, with the sunny sunshine and the best "family" I have.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Loads of things about Dundee are awesome. 2 European Cup Semi finalists Dundee United FC and Dundee FC. Some of the UK's top nightlife and fab cultural venues. dundonians are awesome as well. I have worked all over the uk and dundee is one of the best cities. Lets win this thing.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> There is a surprisingly large African community in Dundee. And with that brings a whole new culture, especially food, clothing and genre of music which I love - Afrobeats, dancehall, soca, hip hop and rnb. The good thing is that everyone has an open mind and are willing to try anything.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The spectacular view from the top of Ninewells Avenue ... it is never twice the same, beautiful in all its moods, and when the tide is low and the river is full of sandbanks, you feel you could walk your way across to Fife.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Scotland's national contemporary dance company is based in Dundee at the Rep.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The live music scene in Dundee is one of it's the best cultural attributes - and it is far batter than the scene in Aberdeen. We have great local band - Young - AMWWF, Boston Tea Party etc - and not so young - Tripper, Headroom, Ringer, Funking Idiots, Bedrock etc, etc. Great music venues - Clarks, Duke's Corner, Legends, Mcdaniels, Bank Bar etc. If you loke live music then Dundee is the place to be!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I am three and I love visiting the libraries for storytimes and crafts. I also love spending time at the museum and Camperdown Park. which has fun play areas.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Everytime I look for help for a project within the creative community, be it volunteers or advice/expertise, I always receive support. The people's justified optimism and community spirit make me super proud to have made Dundee my home.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is a friendly city, and everything is easy to reach, as it is a small city. the Kingsway is a lovely road with all the flowers and plants. Dundee also has a lot of open park areas, and lots of trees.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The up and coming foodie scene in the city is a hidden gem - many people head to the big cities but with fresh fruits and produce available locally, there is plenty to get excited about that is dished up on a plate in Dundee.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> A stunning location and city full of hidden gems that can surprise and delight you.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The DoJ Art &amp; Design College (where I studied) It doesn't have a fancy heritage like Glasgow or Edinburgh, therefore the students &amp; the staff have to rely on simply making great work and a lot of it. No sitting back and resting on old glories.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> What i love about dundee is Balgay park, the gorgeous hidden forrest trails, the wildlife living there, An observatory, the ancient graveyard you can explore for days, the haunted bridge ... the rose garden...i could go on. I have spent so many weekends of my life swinging on those brilliannt swings overlooking the gorgeous greenery of the hill. One of the best parks i have ever been to and a real dundee gem.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Beautiful ,location on the Tay Estuary surrounded by wonderful countryside and beaches. Fascinating historic buildings like Macmanus and Caird Hall preserving a proud history. People cheerful and friendly despite recent economic difficulties.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> I love living in Dundee. The ice arena is my favourite place to go and I love all of the parks and adventure equipment.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> There are so many interesting hidden gems in Dundee. Through hosting a monthly meetup for people in the technology industry we have met people who have worked with NASA on Space Station technology, people from 5 man teams powering software used all over the world, people carrying out pioneering research and student developers creating the next big games. Everyone is so friendly and comes together to share knowledge and experience to continue helping other with problems. It is such a great environment to live and work in.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> When I was a youth arts worker on the Hilltown I discovered a fantastic hide out called the DPM Park, it is tucked away in the middle of houses at the 'tap o the hull' this space used to be a Dundee Pasturised Milk Dairy. The space has years of history attached to it. The park has a 'free wall' for graffiti artists and the local young people and artists to have 'Graffitti Jams' artists from around the world have created amazing art work at the DPM. France, New York, Austalia and all around the uk from London, Glasgow and Aberdeen and many more, they come here and work with our local talent and inspire the young people of Bonney Dundee. Definitely a wee hidden cultural treasure!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee is a vibrant city, with so many exciting developments taking place. It is the obvious city to be the UK City of Culture 2017.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> the amazing speed at which it has developed into a cool city i.e. over the last 18 years since i went there to university
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Nothing I've always known the city and the people are one of and some of the best of britain and it's only getting better
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The Head of Cinema at DCA was on the jury at the Cannes Film Festival in 2013.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The city's aspect, the river, its bridges, the weather, but most of all its friendly and talented people.....
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee was Scotland's second city for over 200 years and by area had Scotland's largest medieval city centre.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Dundee's music culture is amazing! Many great bands have come from Dundee!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The walking distance between Tannandice and Dens.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Having worked and travelled around the UK &amp; further afield, Dundee has its own unique personality. For example, it's nigh impossible to stand at a Dundee bus stop for any length of time without a fellow traveller striking up a conversation with you. It's been a city for a long time but it still feels like a big village.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> If you live in Dundee you are within a 10 minute drive to the beach, beautiful parks and the countryside as well as a cultural quarter in the west end. Our community centres also provide a wide variety of learning opportunities with something to suit all tastes
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> When you go on a wee donder somewhere you always find cool stuff to have a look at what you've never seen before
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The Discovery, McManus Galleries, Caird Hall, Law Hill, The Waterfront and so many more things is what makes Dundee such a wonderful place!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Magdalene Green on a sunny day is a complete delight; the whole community gathers and basks in the sun, having BBQ's and playing sport. Is a delight to join or just to watch.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> The view from the top of Glamis Road where it meets Dixon Avenue. This view of the Tay Estuary lookind towards Perth is picturesque like a scene from a Scottish Fairy tail. The Buzz of activity on the Perth Road on the evenings of the weekend is always welcoming. The Regeneration of the waterfront is truly amazing and looks to be progressing further for the future.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Great theatre &amp; love McManus Galleries. Looking forward to continuing waterfront development - city is improving!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> Beautiful green areas, lovely views from different areas over the river Tay. The people are lovely! Never knew how much it has to offer - actually thinking of moving there from Kent!
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> It always amazes me when I find out about all the activities on offer in this city from keep fit and wellness in the older communities through DHLI to free Yoga sessions for children at Heartspace Yoga. Dundee has many faces : friendly, feisty, hardworking, cultured and multi cultural, sporty. There are wonderful places to eat and drink and relax with fantastic views over the river Tay. We have the most wonderful people who are so proud of our achievements and our city.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> the amazing academics here within the city, that come from all over the world.
<b>Q) What surprises you about the city?</b><br><hr><b>A)</b> As far as cities go, everything's here - niche boutiques, lively coffee shops, young fashion retailers, award winning shopping centres, two universities - it's so vibrant, and that's what makes our city flourish. If you are lucky enough to live and work in Dundee then wherever you go it will stay with you.
